New York State Health Insurance

New York State has medical insurance program serving uninsured children under age 19 in families whose household income exceeds Medicaid income eligibility. The insurance is provided free or at a low cost. Coverage includes well-child check-ups, immunizations, prescriptions, doctor’s visits, x-rays and lab work, outpatient mental health, inpatient hospital care, emergency medical care, and other services. Other programs provide a basic insurance policy for people ages 19-65.
