Dr. Tasha Potter was named Superintendent of Schools for the Penfield Central School District as of Sept. 1, 2024. Dr. Potter had previously served as the district’s Assistant Superintendent for Equity & Access for the past three years. Prior to that, she served as the Director of Diversity and Equity Planning for Monroe One BOCES.
Dr. Potter’s previous experience also includes serving as Director for Equity & Family and Community Engagement, as a principal for 10 years, and as an assistant principal for two years in the Greece Central School District. Prior to her tenure in Greece, she served as an elementary school teacher in both the Rochester and Gates Chili school districts. Dr. Potter has served students, faculty, families/caregivers, and communities in public education for the past 31 years.
Dr. Potter holds her doctorate in executive leadership from St. John Fisher College, her Certificate of Advanced Study in Educational Administration from SUNY Brockport, her master’s degree in liberal studies from SUNY Brockport, and her bachelor’s degree in psychology, also from SUNY Brockport.
