Dr. Emily Roberts

President

Dr. Roberts was elected to the Board in 2019 and served as Vice President prior to being named President in 2023. She currently serves on the Monroe County School Boards Association's Information Exchange Committee. 

Dr. Roberts holds her doctorate from National University, a master’s degree in educational administration from St. John Fisher College, and a bachelor's degree in Nutritional Management from RIT. She currently works as a teacher in the Brighton School District and has three children.

Dr. Roberts currently serves on the Monroe County School Boards Association Executive Committee, the Board Policy Sub-Committee, and the District Facilities Committee.

Mrs. Harley was elected to the Board in 2021.

Mrs. Harley works as a second grade teacher in the West Irondequoit Central School District. She holds a master's degree in Learning Disabilities from Syracuse University and a bachelor's degree in Psychology from Le Moyne College. She and her husband, Charlton, have six children.

Mrs. Harley currently serves on the Board Policy Sub-Committee and the District Audit Committee.

Ms. Callan was elected to the Board in 2024.

Ms. Callan currently works as Director of Resource Development for Connected Communities. She received her master’s in education from the University of Massachusetts, her master’s in Parks, Recreation, and Tourism Management from North Carolina State University and her bachelor’s in Leisure Services Management from Kent State University.  She has three children in the Penfield school district.

Ms. Callan currently serves on the Monroe County School Boards Association Information Exchange Committee, as a NYSSBA Legislative Representative, and on the District Health & Safety Committee.

Mrs. Nicole Doyley

Mrs. Doyley was elected to the Board in 2022.

Mrs. Doyley currently works as a podcast host, author, speaker and educator. She holds her B.A. in English from Dartmouth College. She and her husband, Marvin, have two children.

Mrs. Doyley serves on the Monroe County School Boards Association Legislative Committee, as a NYSSBA Legislative Representative, on the BOE Orientation Sub-Committee, and as a member of the District Audit Committee.

Dr. Aaliyah El-Amin-Turner

Dr. El-Amin-Turner was elected to the Board in 2023.

Dr. Aaliyah El-Amin-Turner is a licensed mental health counselor and owns a private practice. She holds a doctorate in counseling and human development from the University of Rochester, a master's degree in counseling from St. John Fisher College and a bachelor's degree in psychology, also from St. John Fisher.

She and her husband, Tanaka, have four children.

Dr. El-Amin-Turner serves on the Monroe County School Boards Association Legislative Committee and on the District Health & Safety Committee.

Mrs. Krista Khan

Mrs. Khan was elected to the Board in 2022.

Mrs. Khan currently serves as a yoga consultant for The Healing Connection and Monte Nido of Western NY. She holds her certification and international diploma in Early Childhood Education from the Montessori International Teacher Training College. Mrs. Khan and her husband, Lee, have three children.

Mrs. Khan serves on the BOE’s Orientation and Policy Sub-Committees.

Mr. Patrick Moriarty

Mr. Moriarty was elected to the Board in 2024.

Mr. Moriarty is a retired principal and teacher. He earned his adminsitrative certification from SUNY Brockport, his master’s degree in Education from the University of Rochester, and his bachelor's degree in Geology from SUNY Geneseo. He and his wife, Ellen, have one adult child.

Mr. Moriarty currently serves on the District Facilities Committee.
