Project Scope
In May 2021, District voters approved the purchase of land at the corner of Jackson and Plank Roads for the future development of a transportation center. The District’s transportation and buildings and grounds operations have outgrown the existing site on Five Mile Line Road and the District has been searching for a new location for many years. Now that a site has finally been procured, the District is prepared to move forward with a capital project that will include a new transportation/buildings and grounds facility, as well as renovations and infrastructure upgrades at each of the District’s schools and facilities.
Specifically, the scope of the proposed project includes the following major items:
New Transportation/Buildings and Grounds Facility
Penfield High School
Bay Trail
Elementary
Existing Buildings & Grounds/Transportation Facility (Five Mile Line Rd.)
District Office
Project Financing
The estimated cost for the project is $72.9 million, which will be funded through existing reserves and state aid. Therefore, there is no additional tax impact anticipated for this project.
