The Office of Professional Learning continues its commitment to providing rich, engaging, and ongoing professional learning experiences grounded in best practices for teaching and learning.

After 17 years of service to Penfield, Scott Hirschler will retire as principal of Scribner Road Elementary School at the end of this year. Sheonaid Vanderzwan was named acting principal.

Members of the Penfield community are invited to share their vision and hopes for the District’s new strategic plan during Community Design Day, to be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 28.

On Tuesday, Jan. 27, Penfield Central School District will host two Coffee & Conversations sessions for members of the community focused on Portrait of a Graduate.

Through the Dream Lab, students at Penfield’s four elementary schools are learning to solve problems, think creatively, and explore technology.
