The three councils – Student Advisory Council, Faculty & Staff Advisory Council, and Family Advisory Council – were launched in fall 2025 to provide more opportunities for stakeholder input and feedback. In their first year, the councils provided vital input on district initiatives, policies, programs, and enhancements.
Superintendent’s Student Advisory Council (SSAC)
The Superintendent’s Student Advisory Council (SSAC) is a representative group of students who provide direct input and guidance to the Superintendent and District leadership. The council serves as a vital link between the student body and administration, creating a structured platform for student voices to be heard and valued in the decision-making process.
Key Functions of the SSAC
Advocate for Students: SSAC members represent their peers, voicing student needs, concerns, and priorities to District leadership.
Provide Feedback: Council members offer meaningful feedback on school policies, programs, and initiatives, helping shape decisions that affect the student experience.
Share Ideas: Students bring forward innovative ideas and diverse perspectives aimed at improving the academic and social environment across schools.
Develop Leadership Skills: Participation in the SSAC fosters leadership, communication, collaboration, and advocacy skills that serve students both inside and outside the classroom.
Improve School Culture: The SSAC contributes to creating a more inclusive, respectful, and positive school culture by addressing issues that matter to students.
Inform Decision-Making: Student input provided through the council plays a valuable role in guiding superintendent and administrative decisions.

Superintendent's Faculty & Staff Advisory Council
The Superintendent’s Faculty & Staff Advisory Council is a collaborative group that provides advice and input to the Superintendent on matters affecting the faculty within the school District. Serving as a bridge between faculty and District leadership, the council offers a platform for open communication, meaningful collaboration, and the exchange of ideas.
Key Functions of the Council
Provide Feedback and Suggestions: The council contributes thoughtful input on current District initiatives, proposes enhancements, and recommends improvements to benefit faculty, students, and families.
Serve as a Sounding Board: The Superintendent may engage the council to test ideas, gather diverse perspectives, and explore implications before making decisions.
Share Experiences: Council members bring valuable insights by sharing both successes and challenges related to the implementation of programs and initiatives across the District.
Promote Communication: The council enhances transparency and mutual understanding by facilitating the flow of information between the administration and faculty.
Support District Goals: By aligning with the District’s strategic priorities, the council plays an active role in advancing goals through constructive dialogue and informed feedback.

The Superintendent’s Family Advisory Council is a group of parent and family representatives who provide input and guidance to the superintendent on matters related to family engagement, school policies, and student learning. This council serves as a vital link between families and District leadership, fostering collaboration and ensuring that family voices are reflected in key decisions.
Key Functions of the Family Advisory Council
Advise the Superintendent: The council offers input on school policies, District initiatives, and programs, helping ensure that family perspectives are considered in the decision-making process.
Enhance Communication: As a two-way communication channel, the council promotes open dialogue between the Superintendent and families, addressing concerns and sharing important information.
