Two of the seven board seats are to be filled in the elections on May 19, 2026. The terms of Board of Education members Dr. Aaliyah El-Amin-Turner, and Mrs. Krista Khan will expire June 30, 2026. The term of office for a Board member is three years. 

Board candidate nominating petitions may be obtained at the District Office after March 6, 2026. Eighty-five (85) signatures of qualified voters are needed on the petition, which must be filed with the Clerk no later than 5 p.m. on April 20, 2026. 

Candidates should supply their personal biographical data and statement of qualifications and issues to the District Clerk by April 9, 2026, to meet the printing deadline for the budget newsletter.

The annual Monroe County School Boards Association Prospective School Board Candidate Seminar has been scheduled for Saturday, April 11, 2026. 

The District's Meet the Candidates Night is on Monday, May 4, 2026, at 6:30 p.m. in the Transportation Training Center.
