Dear Penfield Families,
I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to our entire school community for your participation in this year’s Budget Vote and Board Election. Your engagement and support for our students, staff, and District mean so much, and the outstanding voter turnout is a testament to the deep care and commitment we all share in providing the very best for our students.
Thank you also for your patience as we navigated a brand-new voting process. Welcoming thousands of voters was no small task, and we appreciate your understanding as we worked through it. We are already exploring ways to streamline the experience for next year.
It is important to remember that school budgets are more than numbers, dollars, and cents. School budgets are the foundation that supports the programs and opportunities that are necessary to help each child reach their full potential. They also sustain the dedicated professionals who bring those programs to life. I want to especially recognize Dr. Dan Driffill, our Assistant Superintendent for Business and Finance, for his tireless work in crafting a fiscally responsible budget that preserves and strengthens our exceptional educational offerings.
Thank you for showing up and reaffirming that education truly matters. We are deeply grateful for your continued incredible support; it is something we never take for granted. I hope the remaining few weeks of the school year are filled with positive experiences and memories for you and your families.
Sincerely,
Tasha Potter. Ed.D.
Superintendent of Schools
