A Message from the Superintendent

Posted Date: 2/21/25 (3:09 PM)

Dear Families and Caregivers,
I am writing to address a concern that has been brought to our attention regarding the display of the American flag at Cobbles Elementary School. It was recently noticed that the flag was hung upside down. Please know that this was completely unintentional and the result of an unfortunate mistake.

As soon as we became aware of the error, we took immediate steps to correct it. The District deeply respects our nation’s flag and all that it represents, and we sincerely regret any concern, harm, or perception of disrespect this may have caused. We appreciate the vigilance and dedication of our school community in upholding the values of respect and patriotism. Moving forward, we will implement additional measures to ensure this does not happen again.

We value our partnership with families and encourage open communication. If you notice something concerning on our campuses, please reach out to us directly so we can work together to resolve any issues. Our goal is to foster a strong, informed, and united community rather than allowing misinformation or inaccuracies to circulate and divide us.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me directly.

Sincerely,
Tasha Potter, Ed.D.
Superintendent of Schools
