Penfield Launches Five-Year Strategic Plan

At the June Board of Education meeting, Penfield Central School District announced its new 2026–2031 Strategic Plan, Boldly Penfield: Future Focused, Together!
Over the last year, the District engaged in a collaborative process to create the plan, which included feedback and suggestions from more than 1,500 community members, families, staff, and residents.
This plan will serve as a roadmap to achieve four goals and their accompanying priority areas:
- Educational Excellence and Student-Centered Curriculum
- Supportive and Inclusive School Climate
- High-Quality Staff and Professional Learning
- Student-Centered Operational Excellence and Resource Stewardship
Dr. Tasha Potter, Superintendent of Schools, said that the four goals are not separate initiatives; but one aligned vision for what it means to grow thriving and successful Penfield students, while also supporting educators and families.
Throughout the summer, the District will draft and refine action plans that operationalize the goals and priorities and promote collective accountability and transparency.
In the fall, the District will begin to see those plans implemented. The Penfield community can expect periodic updates on the plans progress.
“We will be bold in our pursuit of excellence, honest about our challenges, and relentless in our focus on the future,” said Potter. “This plan belongs to our entire community, and the future we are creating belongs to our children.”
