Students, Families Invited to Community Partnership Fair
Students at Penfield Central School District will have the opportunity to explore their career interests and meet with industry leaders in emerging fields during the Community Partnership Fair, to be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 16, in the Penfield High School Commons.
“The Community Partnership Fair is bridging the gap between the classroom and the real world by connecting students with community partners who are shaping the next generation of our workforce,” said Maycanitza Pérez, Assistant Superintendent for Educational Services. “This event also provides families with the resources and direct contacts needed to support their student’s journey, whether that involves college, trade schools, or entering the workforce directly.”
The event will feature a host of community partners; from the hands-on expertise of the skilled trades and the innovative spirit of the business and technology sectors to the creative storytelling of media professionals and the vital care provided by the medical community, there is something to spark every interest. Representatives from these fields, along with many others, will be on hand to share their personal career journeys, discuss the skills needed to succeed, and highlight the pathways available to students while they are still in school and after they graduate.
The Community Partnership Fair is free and open to all students and their families throughout the District.
