Spanish Honor Society Donates Toys for Three Kings Day Celebration
Students involved with Penfield High School’s Spanish Honor Society collected more than 200 gifts in support of Rochester Hope, a local organization dedicated to serving families in the heart of Rochester.
The gifts will bring joy to children during Rochester Hope’s Three Kings Day Celebration on Saturday, Jan. 3, a cherished tradition where each child receives a special gift from the Three Kings.
Students delivered the gifts during their monthly community service at Rochester Hope’s food shelter.
The initiative was organized by Co-Presidents Aidan Elliot and Alex Shor with support from Claudia LoMonaco, Anna Markey, and Julie Garone, who inspired their classes to participate and provided many of the donated gifts.
“Our students went above and beyond by taking time out of their busy schedules to sort, wrap, and label the gifts. Their enthusiasm and teamwork made the experience both productive and enjoyable,” said Michelle Lazio, Advisor of Spanish Honor Society.
